Benha Faculty of Engineering Participates in the National Conference on National Identity at Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Soliman represented Benha University and Benha Faculty of Engineering at the National Conference “National Identity: Deep-Rooted Heritage and Renewed Vision,” held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina from September 21 to 23, 2026.

Eng. Ahmed Soliman participated in the third panel discussion, “Innovation and Enhancing National Identity,” attended by Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture; Eng. Ayman Atia, Governor of Alexandria; and Eng. Taghreed Refaei, representing the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The session was chaired by Dr. Suzan Abed, Senior Researcher at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Center for Strategic Studies, with the participation of representatives from Egyptian universities and relevant institutions.

During the session, Eng. Ahmed Soliman presented the experience of his graduation project team in designing and developing a carton-palletizing robot, an engineering application in robotics and industrial automation aimed at supporting technology localization, local manufacturing, and reducing dependence on imported solutions.

The project is supported by the Innovators and Talents Support Fund (ISF) and supervised by Dr. Muhammed Gaafar. The team has participated in several competitions and achieved advanced positions, gaining practical experience in engineering design, innovation, prototyping, and developing technology-based solutions.
